Continuing our journey with CTN Bunker of Zion was the first project back after Covid and brought a wild and joyful celebration of Zimbabwean culture to Thanet.

Associate Artist

Associate Artist for Thanet: Jodie Cole

Choreographer, movement director, facilitator, & performer, she is inspired by the healing powers of movement to cross social divides, she celebrates difference and uses movement to unite experience.

Jodie worked with members of Inspiration Creative to create movement pieces inspired by and with the Bunker of Zion themes and team.

Inspiration Creative

A Broadstairs based inclusive creative arts organisation catering for all abilities with classes including drama, dance, art and choir: sing and sign.

Audiences experienced a riot of colour and sound in John Pfumojena's celebration of Zimbabwean culture. The distinctive sound of the marimba and mbira created the backdrop to a high energy fusion of gumboot and hiphop dance. Local participants responses to the work were integrated seamlessly into the performance.
