The Happiness Project
A four week experiment in ways to be happier.
Saturdays 10-12pm Feb 21-Mar 14
Radford House and Ramsgate Space, Ramsgate
FREE

Research suggests that spending time with others, trying new things and giving back makes you happier.
So, we’re conducting an experiment to see if the research is right. And we’d love your help.

Over FOUR weeks we’ll be trying out THREE activities: singing, moving and storytelling. We’ll spend TWO hours in each others’ company and in the last week together we will create ONE fabulous Act of Kindness for someone in our community. Who or what that is is up to you.
About the Sessions
The plan is to have fun, make friends, and celebrate happiness.
Come alone or bring a friend. Everyone is welcome.
Each week we’ll share a 90-minute activity led by a local creative, drink tea, eat biscuits and have a chat about happiness, wellbeing, and ways to connect.
WEEK 1
Sat 21 Feb 10-12pm: Social Sing-Along with Coastal Choir leader, Ed Greenhalgh - popular songs, sung for pleasure - no experience or talent required! Radford House, 18 Effingham St, Ramsgate.
WEEK 2
Sat 28 Feb 10-12pm: Mindful Moving with dancer Jodie Cole - get your groove on - adapted for all physicalities - there are no rules - this is moving purely for the joy of moving. Radford House, 18 Effingham St, Ramsgate

WEEK 3
Sat 7 March 10-12pm: Shared Storytelling - we’ve all got a tale to tell and in this session theatre-maker Tom Adams will share with us some of the most fun ways to tell them. Come along, listen to others and tell your own story. Ramsgate Space, 17 Albert Court, Ramsgate.
Each week we’ll also plan for our final week’s Act of Kindness!

WEEK 4
Sat 14 March: 10-12pm: ACT OF KINDNESS. During the previous three weeks we will decide together on an Act of Kindness for someone or someones in our community. Who we pick and what the act is, we don’t know yet but we’ll put it in to action on this day in a place decided by us. Venue TBC
What will that be? We don’t know yet.
